Akshat Jain is a highly motivated and skilled Member of Technical Staff at Mentor Graphics, a Siemens EDA company. He is currently working with the System Verilog and SV Assertion team, where he has demonstrated a strong passion for software development and machine learning. With a quick learning ability and problem-solving skills, Akshat is always eager to explore new technologies. Akshat is proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, System Verilog, Shell Scripting, and Python. He has gained experience in various fields, including software engineering, machine learning, research, and mobile development. Akshat has a relevant experience of 0.78 years in the industry. Prior to joining Mentor Graphics, Akshat worked as a Research Intern at Samsung, where he was involved in a project to classify Voice Assistant commands as general, private, and non-private. He created a dataset of 6000 rows manually and applied various text classification models like ANN, RNN, and Transfer Learning to achieve an accuracy of 95%. For his work in this project, he was awarded a certificate of excellence. Akshat has also worked as a Project Intern at iHub - Awadh @ IIT Ropar, where he designed an IoT-based hydroponic growing system with aerator/temperature/water level. He monitored parameters such as pH, temperature, light intensity, humidity, and water level and applied machine learning models to predict appropriate control actions for the hydroponic system, which was classified into eight labels. Akshat holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Thapar University, which he is set to complete in December 2022. He also attended St. John's High School in Chandigarh, where he completed his secondary education.
