Akshay Arni is an experienced software professional with a strong background in building highly available, fault-tolerant, high-throughput, and responsive distributed systems. He has a special interest in system design and architecture and loves playing with technology. Akshay has a demonstrated history of working with Java, Dropwizard, Apache HBase, and MariaDB. Currently working as a Software Engineer at PhonePe, Akshay is responsible for developing the Users and P2P pods. His work includes developing the User Contact Book, User/Group Profile Image Store, and Chat Attachments. He has also made open-source contributions to HBase test containers. Prior to PhonePe, Akshay worked as a Team Lead at Paycraft, where he designed various tech components, built an Edge Layer Infra, and established coding guidelines and best practices. He also worked as a Full Stack Engineer at Operative, where he developed the Ratecard service and Export Service. Akshay holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Warangal. He has a strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving.
