Akshay Honap is a highly skilled Software Engineer MTS with over 2 years of professional experience in software development. He has a Master's degree in Computer Science from Northeastern University in Boston, where he honed his technical skills and developed a passion for web technologies, algorithms, research, and solving complex computational problems. He has also designed and developed an interactive system that manages end-to-end creation/renewal of SSL certificates on the Akamai platform, reducing human toil by ~1 hr per certificate. In the past, Akshay has worked as an Associate Software Engineer at Salesforce, where he built REST APIs in Node.js, used Redis as the queuing engine to run monitoring checks, and developed a simple API-driven microservice in Node.js using JSForce to insert alerts into GUS at scale for Marketing Cloud to improve cross-cloud visibility. He has also designed and developed a standalone web application using Salesforce Lightning Web Components to seamlessly translate user input to a monitoring check and add it to the existing codebase in Github. Before joining Salesforce, Akshay worked as a Teaching Assistant at Northeastern University College of Computer and Information Science, where he conducted recitations for a batch of 60+ students for the course 'DATABASE DESIGN' for topics in relational and NoSQL databases, graded exam papers and in-class quizzes, and held office hours every week to solve course-related difficulties/problems of students.
