Akshay Kulkarni is a highly accomplished Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Evangelist, Author, Speaker, and Mentor with over 13 years of relevant experience. He has consulted with several Fortune 500 and global enterprises in driving AI and Data Science-led strategic transformation and has a rich experience of building and scaling AI and Machine Learning businesses. Currently, Akshay is part of Sapient’s core data science team where he works on various Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Artificial intelligence engagements by applying state of the art techniques in this space. He recently developed an application using reinforcement learning, deep reinforcement, and genetic algorithms for one of the retail giant to solve their instore process optimization, merchandising, and supply chain. Akshay is a regular speaker at major AI and Data Science conferences and has published 2 books on Data Science/Machine learning with Packt and Apress and is currently authoring a book with Oreilly. He has delivered 300+ tech talks on data science and AI in various conferences, technical institutions, and community arranged forums. He is also a well-known speaker at O'Reilly AI Conferences. Akshay is passionate about teaching and acts as a Data Science Mentor at various organizations. He is also a visiting faculty (Industry expert) at a few of the top graduation(IITM, IITK, IITD, IISc, etc) and business(IIMA, IIMB, ISB, etc) institutes/universities in India. He is proficient in AI, Data Scientist, Research Scientist, ML, Reinforcement Learning, Deep Learning, and NLP. In his spare time, Akshay enjoys reading, writing, coding, and helping aspiring Data Scientists. He holds a Bachelor's degree from Ramaiah Institute of Technology.
