Akshay Lahoti is a self-motivated, innovative, and analytical Principal Data Scientist at HDFC Life who possesses an assertive attitude and excellent communication skills. With over a decade of relevant experience, Akshay is proficient in data extraction, data pre-processing, data mining, statistical research and analysis techniques, descriptive analytics, prescriptive analytics, predictive analytics, and forecasting. Akshay has expertise in supervised, semi-supervised, and unsupervised machine learning algorithms. He is also skilled in text mining, sentiment analysis, natural language processing, social media analytics, topic analysis, probabilistic graphical models, and recommender systems. Akshay is proficient in R, MATLAB, Python, SQL, Unix-Shell Scripting, and Hadoop. Before joining HDFC Life, Akshay served as a Lead Data Scientist and Senior Data Scientist at HDFC. He has also worked with other reputed organizations in the past. Akshay has a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka.
