Akshay Nair is a highly skilled and experienced Systems Software Engineer with a strong background in software development, integration, and testing. He is currently working at Hewlett Packard as Systems Software Engineer 1 and has been instrumental in developing provider APIs for collecting CPU/Memory usage metrics from HPE's Integrity servers. He has also fixed customer-reported defects in HPVM CLI acting as its product owner and triaged and fixed customer-found defects in HP-UX userspace commands. Akshay has enabled manageability of HP9000 system containers through Openstack for HP-UX and addressed bugs and added enhancements to the HPE OneView product to better manage HPE's Superdome Flex servers. He has also simulated HPE's Superdome Flex servers using HPE's Data Centre Simulator to aid development of HPE OneView and automated acceptance testing of HPE OneView using the Robot framework. Prior to his current role, Akshay worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Hewlett Packard, where he transformed HP-UX system products, including HP-UX vPars and Integrity VM (HPVM) and HP Ignite-UX, to include RESTful APIs using Jersey (JAX-RS) framework. He also worked as a Software Engineer Intern at TCS, where he developed 'IVR Call Flow Builder' using JavaFX for ongoing research at the Innovation Labs (R&D division of TCS). Akshay is a Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science student at Stony Brook University, expected to graduate in December 2022. He completed his Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Computer Science and Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology in 2017. Akshay's technical skills include Software Engineering, Test, Integration, and Research Scientist. With 5.43 years of relevant experience, Akshay is actively seeking SDE roles starting January 2023.
