Akshay Nautiyal is a highly skilled professional with a passion for global macro, Quant Finance/Fin Math, Financial Machine Learning, and data science. With over 6 years of experience in the field, he currently serves as the Head of Data Science at predictnow.ai inc. In this role, he is responsible for leading the Data Science team, creating ML factor models for large institutions, and developing high-frequency predictor PoCs for market makers via quant/ML literature research. He also backtests/simulates high Sharpe low drawdown strategies for various cryptocurrency clients, which have been successfully released for multiple clients. Akshay is also supervising the creation of a real-time Feature Engineering pipeline, which involves curating factors/features from Quant Finance literature and acquiring data from various global vendors. He works closely with the engineering team for the creation/maintenance of a common scalable and robust Financial machine learning pipeline using technologies like PySpark, Dask, RAPIDs, etc., on Big Data platforms. Additionally, he is involved in technical recruiting for Quant and Machine learning profiles. Prior to his current role, Akshay worked as a Consultant at predictnow.ai inc, where he managed the Quant Factor Engineering efforts. He also served as a Quant intern at alpha alternatives, where he worked on Indian Commodity futures quant strategies, using Quant Fin literature to create various hypotheses for cross-sectional momentum in commodities. Akshay holds a PGDML degree in Artificial Intelligence from iiit Bangalore and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer Science from Manipal Institute of Technology. He also has a Junior High/Intermediate/Middle School Education and Teaching degree from Brightlands School, Dehra Dun. Akshay has a strong tech stack that includes ML, Data Scientist, Python, AWS, Reinforcement Learning, CNN, RNN, NLP, Big Data, Research Scientist, and infra.
