Akshay Saxena is a teacher-entrepreneur with a passion for building organizations that create a more equitable world. As the Co-Founder of Avanti Fellows, he is leading a team that is helping government school teachers across India dramatically improve science and math achievement and college access for disadvantaged students. Avanti's IIT JEE and NEET coaching programs have consistently increased access to elite colleges by more than three-fold over the past six years. Before starting Avanti Fellows, Akshay co-founded Avanti Learning Centres, which is transforming how students learn science and mathematics from Grades 8-10. Avanti's teachers use a blend of technology and collaborative learning methods to create some of the most effective classroom teaching programs for math and science in the world. Avanti's products are being used by over 100 schools across India spanning rural towns, government schools, and the top private schools in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru. Akshay is also a Trustee of SaveLife Foundation, an organization that aims to improve road safety and emergency medical care in India. With 13.20 years of relevant experience, Akshay has a strong background in business administration. He completed his MBA (on Leave of Absence) from Harvard Business School in 2010 and his high school education from Delhi Public School Noida in 2001. Currently, Akshay is hiring 150+ teachers, product folk, and operations managers to continue the growth and impact of Avanti Fellows.
