Akshay Vispute is a highly skilled and experienced Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Data Science professional with over 4.5 years of relevant experience. He has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and is proficient in Python programming language, Natural language processing (NLP), Computer vision (CV) and Image processing, Machine learning algorithms, Deep learning algorithms and Neural networks, Data analysis, Deployment of models, Statistics, SQL and databases, Recommendation engine and clustering, Underlying mathematics of all the mentioned techniques, etc. Akshay started his career as a startup guy in 2016 and ran a successful startup with two of his friends for 18 months. He then worked as a Business Analyst for an IT firm at Pune for two years and completed numerous projects related to Data collection, Excel, Analytics, Python. He implemented ML models as black-box using scikit-learn, crunched large datasets, unorganized datasets, and converted them into structured data using python, NumPy, pandas, matplotlib. Later, Akshay took a full-time 12 months of mathematically rigorous machine learning and data science course i.e., "Applied Machine Learning Course" by ApppliedRoots, where he completed 30+ industrial projects and assignments related to Data analysis, Machine learning, Deep learning, Natural language processing, and computer vision. Currently, Akshay is working as a Member Technical Staff (AI-ML) at VMware, where he has developed a highly customizable training pipeline in Python with KMeans & Spectral clustering in a hierarchical fashion that can generate migration groups of virtual machines based on network flows data. He has also developed an interactive plotly dash app for analyzing hierarchical migration‑groups graph generated with hierarchical clustering. In the past, Akshay has worked as a Machine Learning Consultant for ICICI Lombard and as a Data Analyst for Motwane Manufacturing, where he developed a Machine Learning model to identify the health of an Electrical Transformer through transformer’s make specifications & historical data. He has also implemented a deep learning (LSTM) model on a time‑series data, improved mean percentage error by 13% than baseline model.
