Akshit Jindal is a highly skilled PHD scholar with expertise in machine learning, NLP, TTS, and mobile technologies. He is currently pursuing his PhD at IIIT-Delhi, where he is a head teaching assistant for machine learning courses taught by Dr. Saket Anand. Akshit has an extensive background in the technology industry, having worked for Samsung Research Institute Bengaluru in their Bixby Voice Assistant Team, where he was responsible for the development and enhancement of NLG and TTS modules of Bixby. During his time at Samsung, Akshit implemented a chatbot for chit-chat utterances that utilized generative and retrieval methods to arrive at a response. Akshit was also responsible for the maintenance of the current TTS module and has experience with text normalization for TTS, different types of phoneme sets, the whole TTS pipeline. Akshit is familiar with Concatenative, Parametric, and Deep learning-based methods of Text-to-Speech. As a PHD student, Akshit is working on the privacy and robustness of machine learning models under the supervision of Dr. Vikram Goyal, Dr. Saket Anand, and Dr. Chetan Arora. He has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Thapar University, where he studied computer science. Akshit is a research scientist with over 5.85 years of relevant experience in the technology industry. He is highly skilled in machine learning, NLP, mobile, software engineering, normalization, and deep learning. Akshit is passionate about his work and always strives to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in technology.
