Akshit Malhotra is a highly skilled product designer and research scientist with a passion for exploring how people interact with technology. With almost 5 years of relevant experience, he has developed a deep understanding of the principles of psychology, design, and emotion that underpin a positive user experience. Currently working at Hubilo as the Team Lead for the Innovation Lab, Akshit is responsible for hiring product designers and overseeing the development of new and emerging technologies. He is pursuing a research master's degree in cutting-edge areas such as Augmented Reality, Next Generation Video Conferencing, Immersive Visualization, and Human-Robot Interaction. This allows him to stay at the forefront of technological advancements and bring innovative solutions to real-world problems. Akshit's previous experience includes working as a Senior Product Designer at Hubilo and as a Master's Student at HIT Lab NZ. At HIT Lab NZ, he conducted research on emerging technologies and used interaction design techniques to adapt them to the needs of end-users. His ultimate goal is to improve the user experience with technology. Akshit's education history includes a Bachelor of Design from NIFT and a Master's degree in Human Interface Technology from the University of Canterbury. He has also completed courses at the Interaction Design Foundation to further his knowledge and understanding of the field. As a designer, research scientist, and product designer, Akshit has a versatile skill set that allows him to approach problems from multiple angles. He is passionate about using technology to solve real-world problems and create positive user experiences.
