Akshita Sharma is a Technical Project Manager at Dimagi with over 5 years of experience in the technology industry. She has a strong background in software development and data analytics, having worked for media and aviation domains prior to joining Dimagi. At Dimagi, Akshita leads the design and product development for delivery solutions, and heads the technical review team for India-based delivery projects. She has created many benchmark processes that have strengthened delivery solution output and refined the overall project delivery lifecycle. Akshita has expertise in building custom reporting solutions and has a proven track record for steering complex technical requirements. Akshita has worked as a manager and implementation lead for US and India-based public health and tech impact projects, including many as part of the COVID-19 response, interventions for Non-Communicable Diseases, Nutrition and Mental Health. She has successfully contributed to and led the design, delivery, and transition of a large-scale mHealth intervention program in India reaching more than 6 lakh front-line workers across 17 states. In her previous role as a Senior Technical Project Analyst at Dimagi, Akshita managed projects for tobacco cessation trial that aimed to support adaptation and scale-up of tobacco control practices in a low resource setting. She also led product development for 6+ projects across different geographies in the US and India, including many as part of the COVID-19 response. Akshita strengthened the solution delivery output for 10+ projects by creating benchmark processes and ensuring mandated quality assessment. She also created roadmaps for internal capacity building and led training sessions for all team members, upskilling them on advanced product technical features. Prior to joining Dimagi, Akshita worked as a Software Engineer for a US-based News & Media Organisation at GlobalLogic. She led the feature enhancement of 3 major newspaper delivery service functionality that allowed increased and improved shipment monitoring and invoicing workflows for the users. She also executed system upgrade from the legacy architecture to the new system that improved the overall performance of the application 5 times. Akshita holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Information Technology from Indraprastha University and currently resides in New Delhi. Her technical skills include Software Engineering, Big Data, and Java.
