Alaa Bahr is an accomplished IT professional with 18.87 years of experience in the design, management, and development of complex business applications. Currently working as the Lead Server Engineer at INTEREL, the fastest growing manufacturer of integrated room technologies and energy conservation systems in the luxury hospitality industry, Alaa is responsible for collecting and understanding R&D requirements, contributing innovative solution suggestions, working on specifications and solution design, and owning the database and application architecture in consultation with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Prior to his current role, Alaa worked as a Senior Server Side Engineer at INTEREL, where he was responsible for designing and developing software solutions that met the needs of the business. Before joining INTEREL, he worked as a Technical Lead at Dubai Municipality, where he defined product requirements, created high-level architectural specifications, and acted as Scrum Master in project implementation. Alaa was also part of the Dubai Municipality Agile transformation team, guiding the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to delight customers. Alaa holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Modern Academy in Maadi. He is an expert in the art and science of making software happen, with a passion for delivering software and technology that meets the needs of the business.
