Alan Berkson is a seasoned professional with over 37 years of experience in the IT industry. He is currently serving as the Director of Thought Leadership at Freshworks, where he is responsible for creating an industry-leading thought leadership platform that will elevate the perceptions of Freshworks as a trusted partner. Alan has had multiple roles at Freshworks, including Director of Global Analyst Relations and Director of Community Outreach. In his role as Director of Global Analyst Relations, he managed Global Analyst and Influencer Relations covering multiple product categories, including CX, IT Service Management, CRM, and Platform. He built the program from scratch and achieved recognition in major analyst category reports, including MQ's and Waves. As Director of Community Outreach, Alan connected with and engaged the different members of the Freshdesk community, including customers, prospects, journalists, analysts, and thought leaders. His goal was to educate, network, connect, and most of all, to listen and learn. He handled analyst and influencer relations, content, and content strategy. Prior to joining Freshworks, Alan spent over 2 decades in the IT world doing development, service management, and as a pioneer in the MSP space. He thinks of himself as one of the world's oldest "digital natives" and wrote early on about the impact of pervasive communications on businesses and society. Alan is also the host of the Cosmic Streetcorner podcast, where he talks about entertainment. He is passionate about asking questions and exploring the intersection of technology, society, and culture. Alan holds a BA in Computer Science from City University of New York-Queens College and an incomplete MBA in Finance from NYU Stern School of Business. He is a thought leader in the areas of CX, Employee Experience, Community, and Future of Work.
