Alankar Kumar is a professional poker player with a background in software engineering and a passion for programming, competitive coding, and software development. He is interested in theoretical computer science, particularly algorithms and complexity. Alankar is motivated by his motto to solve every problem that comes his way and is enthusiastic about anything related to algorithms. Currently, Alankar works as a software engineer at Grofers, where he has been involved in several projects. One of his notable achievements is building a remote SQL browser that can fetch, update, and query data from any device situated in any of the Grofers inventory. He also led a team of three in using data mining to calculate the score of items and determine the best path for pickers in the warehouse. This project won a Hackathon held at Grofers. Alankar also built a system that automates refunds for certain types of customer complaints and grievances, integrating it with Freshdesk for ticket creation. Aside from his work at Grofers, Alankar has also created APIs for internal use and set up an alerting system for the internal team. He is proficient in Python and Django and has experience working with Redis, SQL, AWS, MySQL, and Postgres. Alankar has a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from MNNIT and a Full Stack Web Development Certification from Free Code Camp. He also holds a PCM degree from Kendriya Vidyalaya.
