Albert Carreras is a software engineer currently working at Pinterest on the Web Platform & Gestalt team. He is passionate about using technology to inspire people to create a life they love, and he achieves this by developing and maintaining Pinterest's open-source design system library, Gestalt. Albert is also a mentor to software engineer contractors and apprentices, helping them to develop their skills and achieve their goals. Before transitioning to a career in tech, Albert focused on sustainability, waste management, and operations management in various sectors, including public, private, and not-for-profit.
