Albert Chai is a highly experienced Sr. Project/Program Manager with over 15 years of experience in IT Project/Program Management in large enterprise environments. He has extensive experience in financial and government institutions, digital media, and telecom industries managing large complex projects and programs that have significant IT and operational components. Albert is a self-motivated strategic leader with acute business acumen and a keen interest in technology. He is a strong cross-functional communicator that easily interfaces with high-profile staff, vendors, and business partners. Currently, Albert is working as a Sr. Project/Program Manager at BMO FINANCIAL GROUP, ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY OPERATIONS PMO. In his current role, he is responsible for planning and delivering Azure Cloud, Infrastructure and Application projects related to the P&BB Channels space following Agile/Waterfall/Hybrid methodologies from end to end. He leads cross-functional teams through the planning and execution of the first 2 Azure Cloud applications in BMO including infrastructure build (PaaS), development of Web Apps/Web Jobs/Logic Apps, migration, operational handover, and day 2 support. He also leads technology currency projects from end to end including Server (Windows/Linux) and Database (Oracle/SQL) upgrades and decommission of old infrastructure. In his past roles, Albert has worked as a Sr. Project/Program Manager, Technology PMO at BMO FINANCIAL GROUP and as a Sr. Project Manager, Enterprise Information Management Services at RBC. In both roles, he has managed and coordinated large complex IT projects delivering on time, within budget and scope. He has also effectively managed project/program financials, planned, negotiated, and managed risks effectively in collaboration with business partners and technology teams, and resolved and effectively communicated project issues to senior leadership and executives with a pragmatic mindset. Albert has a Diploma in Network Administration from the Ontario Institute of Information Technology and a BSc. in Computer Science from the University of Toronto. He has experience working with infra, Azure, SQL, Web, product manager, DevOps, Integration, Software Engineer, Data Warehouse, and ETL. Overall, Albert has 22.46 years of relevant experience in the IT industry.
