Albert Chang is a versatile and accomplished Software Engineer with a background in Mechanical Engineering. He is currently working as a Software Engineer for Cal Employee Connect (CEC) at California SCO, where he is responsible for developing and maintaining a state-wide online financial portal application that is available to all California state workers and admin console. Albert is passionate about finding solutions to real-world problems and creating simple-looking, easy-to-use, but powerful applications that help people become more productive. He has a keen interest in enhancing application testing through the development of browser automation test scripts using Selenium via the Page-Object model and unit tests with Mocha and Chai. In addition to his professional work, Albert is also passionate about music, having played the violin since he was in second grade. He has attended multiple youth orchestras, most notably the Young People's Symphony Orchestra and the Oakland Youth Orchestra. Albert's past experience includes working as a Software Engineer for Accenture, where he created a clean, powerful task-ticketing management UI with ASP.NET MVC 5 in C# and LINQ for eBay in San Jose. He also worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern for Enercon Services, where he edited several Environmental Qualification (EQ) safety calculations paper, which diagnose and mitigate post-accident and normal-working situations for the Diablo Canyon Power Plant (DCPP). Albert holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego, a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Information Systems and Management from UC Berkeley Extension, and has completed a program at Hack Reactor. Albert's technical skills include Software Engineering, Selenium, Redis, Javascript, Frontend, Backend, dotNET, ASP.NET, and UI.
