Albrey Brown is a highly experienced and accomplished Vice President of Strategy and General Manager of New York with a passion for diversity and inclusion. With almost 9 years of relevant experience, Albrey has a strong track record of leading all things strategy and building out successful offices. Currently, Albrey is working at Joonko where he is responsible for all things strategy and building out the New York office. Previously, Albrey worked at Hack Reactor where he held various positions, including Director of Diversity and Inclusion and Hacker in Residence. In his role as Director of Diversity and Inclusion, Albrey built a recruiting and retention strategy to increase and support both underrepresented students and staff at Hack Reactor. He also maintained a 1.3 million dollar diversity scholarship fund that increased URM applications by 400%. Albrey coached executive leadership on diversity and inclusion practices across all business functions that produced 2M in revenue and increased workplace and student diversity. Additionally, he built local and national partnerships with equitable organizations and developed inclusion programs such as Telegraph Track, a mentorship and support program that recruits URM and supports them as they go through Hack Reactor. Albrey has a degree in Software Engineering Immersive from Hack Reactor and has completed his education at Telegraph Prep. He is highly skilled in Salesforce and has a strong understanding of full-stack software engineering with a focus on UI/UX, design, Angular.js, HTML/CSS, and React.
