Alda Luong is a highly experienced software engineer and CTO/co-founder at Dear Brightly. With over 15 years of relevant experience, she has worked with a range of technologies and platforms, including mobile, iOS, and Android. In her current role, Alda is responsible for driving the technical direction of Dear Brightly, a company that aims to simplify the process of accessing prescription-strength skincare products. She has played a key role in building the company's software infrastructure, and is committed to delivering a seamless user experience. Prior to joining Dear Brightly, Alda worked as a software engineer at Optimizely, where she served as the tech lead for the mobile team. In this role, she was responsible for delivering the Optimizely Mobile X SDK onto four platforms, iOS, tvOS, Android, and AndroidTV. She also architected the SDK APIs and module behaviors, scoped and delegated tasks to a team of ten engineers, and defined a workflow and release process that improved the speed and quality of releases for the mobile team. Alda also mentored junior engineers on coding conventions and good software engineering practices. Before joining Optimizely, Alda worked as a Mobile Engineer at Yammer, Inc., where she maintained and built new features on the Yammer iOS app. She has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Science and Engineering and a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, both from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
