Alejandro Cavazos is a self-taught JavaScript Software Engineer with over 8 years of relevant experience in web and mobile development. He was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico, and has lived there his entire life. Alejandro's passion for technology started at a young age, and he taught himself web development using online platforms like Codecademy and Treehouse when he was just 15 years old. Alejandro's professional career began two years later when he landed his first formal contract to work remotely for a company in Dallas, TX. Since then, he has worked as a contractor for multiple U.S. based companies primarily as a Frontend Engineer. Currently, he is working as a Contract Software Engineer at PayPal. Alejandro is a highly skilled engineer with expertise in JavaScript, Typescript, and Frontend development. He has worked on multiple freelance projects to improve his technical, business, and people skills. Alejandro has also been a speaker at multiple tech meetups in his city, advocating on modern web technologies and best practices, and participated as an instructor at a coding bootcamp for CeroUno. Alejandro's past experiences include working as a Software Engineer at zipdev and a Frontend Engineer at Truelogic Software. At zipdev, he was responsible for architecting, implementing, and unit testing new features requested by the product and design team. He also gradually migrated the codebase from Javascript to Typescript and implemented better state management with Hooks and Context APIs. At Truelogic Software, Alejandro designed and developed new features on a mobile (PWA) application with offline support.
