Alejandro Rioja is a growth expert with a passion for all things growth. He has a proven track record of generating web traffic and influencing startups, with 600k monthly web visits on his own projects and $200M in pipeline influenced for the startups he works with. Currently, he is working as Growth-SEO at Samsara, an IoT platform that combines hardware, software, and cloud to bring real-time visibility, analytics, and AI to operations. At Samsara, Alejandro took the SEO direct pipeline from $5M to $13M, influenced pipeline from $30M to $200M, 3x’ed bookings to $1M+, and created an SEO process that doubled their traffic in 2020. He also proposed and launched the Affiliate Program, generating leads for 1/10 of the cost of SEM, and led the creation of several top-of-funnel YouTube videos for lead gen. He led a team of 7 freelancers and contractors to achieve these results in the most cost-effective manner. Prior to Samsara, Alejandro worked as Senior Product Marketing Manager at LoanSnap, where he improved email/sms/push drip re-engagement and drove cheaper app installs and higher mortgage applications via a comprehensive strategy on Adwords and Facebook. He also wrote and defined technical feature requirements on behalf of the marketing team, grew Pinterest to 12k monthlies, and interfaced daily with the Product, Engineering, and Data teams. Alejandro also founded and served as the advisor, project manager, and investment liaison for 6BLabs, a 12-week startup incubator he started in his hometown (Santa Cruz, Bolivia). He wanted to empower more Latinos to start their own tech companies. Alejandro holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Los Angeles. His tech stack includes web, AI, Salesforce, test, Android, and iOS. He has 9.36 years of relevant experience and regularly uses tools such as Google Data Studio, Salesforce, Contentful, Clearscope, Ahrefs, SEMRush, Deepcrawl, Coda, Airtable, Asana, Zapier, OKRs, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, and Optimizely.
