Alex Chuang is an engineer turned entrepreneur who is passionate about pushing the boundaries of what is possible and sharing his wisdom with the world. Currently working as an Electrical Engineer at Carlson Paving Products, he designs and prototypes electrical systems for all Carlson products, supports assembly and manufacturing by troubleshooting and solving electrical problems, and discovers requirements from sales, manufacturing, and engineering to better develop products. He has also designed electrical systems updates and DC controls for various pavers and developed cost-saving updates for continuous improvement. Prior to his current role, Alex co-owned Thirsty Crab Brewery LLC, where he developed a business plan for a 20-barrel brewery expansion, performed market analysis, developed a marketing plan, and managed investor relations. He also worked as an Electrical Design Engineer at Kenworth Truck Co., where he designed harnessing, managed modular/layered harness complexity, and performed cost optimization, among other responsibilities. Alex holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology from Western Washington University and an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) in Arts and Sciences from Whatcom Community College. He has relevant experience as a research scientist and in integration, totaling 7.95 years. With a strong background in engineering and entrepreneurship, Alex is driven to better his surroundings and achieve feats thought impossible. He is always looking for new challenges and opportunities to design, build, and rise to the occasion.
