Alex Diachenko is a highly experienced Software Engineer with almost 12 years of relevant experience in the field. Currently working at a stealth startup, he holds the position of Software Engineer. In his previous role at Confluent, he was a Software Engineer and contributed to the PMC of the Ambari project (https://ambari.apache.org) and was a committer of the Hawq project (http://hawq.incubator.apache.org). Prior to that, Alex worked as a Staff Software Engineer at Pivotal Software, where he was a part of the Connectors team. He worked on the Greenplum-Spark connector, using Scala as the primary language. In addition to that, he was also a part of the Hawq Unmanaged data team, where he worked on making Hawq read/write external sources of data such as Hive, HBase, and HDFS.
