As our first engineer, I was directly responsible for architecting and implementing our entire application ecosystem. This included everything from internal Backend Office and Order Management tools, Sales Enablement tools for field teams, Inventory Management Systems for our forests spanning the continental U.S., marketing data + systems integrations, and our e-Commerce platform. Over time this ecosystem scaled to serve over 200 employees, and thousands of customers.

I also scaled out our engineering team, and was responsible for leading a team of 5 (one of 3 teams). I was directly responsible for ensuring we satisfied the needs of the business. I worked directly with executive level cross functional stakeholders and PMs to ensure business objectives were clearly defined. I held our team to a high bar of execution, and I owned delivering on time with a high degree of accuracy, and ensured that our work moved the business forward.

As a team lead I also focused on personal and career growth of the engineers I managed. I mentored junior engineers by providing actionable technical feedback. I mentored more senior engineers to hone their communication skills. It connects title, escrow, signing services, and notaries on one platform. It provides compliant loan document transfer and eliminates data entry with Quickbooks accounting integration.

Moonlighting with the design, product, and executive teams, I was responsible for building and maintaining critical components of the web application used by hundreds of thousands to "unlock the outdoors".  A small team allowed us to iterate quickly, and keep our user's requests at the forefront of the product. Through building the e-commerce component of the website, I made a direct financial impact, driving revenue growth, as well as continued user engagement.

Developed and maintained static websites, database driven web applications, and e-commerce platforms for dozens of clients. As the engineer on a team with product and design, it is my job to make sure that projects are developed on time, to spec, and within the constraints of a budget.

Responsible for providing short term forecasts for flight operations at 2 international, and 2 regional airports.  Developed software to help forecasters analyze current weather conditions.  Quality controlled data coming into the office, as well as data or forecasts that were shipped to the public.

Performed research on local scale atmospheric phenomena as well as historical case studies. Developed computer programs to alert forecasters to pending dangerous weather situations based on previous research.  Responsible for quality control of data, as well as handing inquiries from the general public regarding forecast products.
