Alexander Reynolds is a highly skilled Computer Vision Engineer with over 10 years of relevant experience in the field. Currently, he is employed at Anduril Industries, where he specializes in sensor fusion, stereo imaging, photogrammetry, detection, classification, and tracking for autonomous UAVs and sensor towers. In his previous role at Orro, Alexander was responsible for algorithm R&D and real-time decision systems for a hardware-focused start-up in the home automation space. He designed modular software products to predict user preferences, transform data to physically interpretable quantities, and reduce factory calibration time for hardware sensors. Alexander also owned data quality through HW, FW, and SW and built tools to analyze data at each layer. Additionally, he built automated testing pipelines for algorithm evaluation against labeled datasets. Before joining Orro, Alexander worked as a Research Associate II at the Sensors Directorate of the Air Force Research Laboratory. There, he investigated the propagation of uncertainty in image registration algorithms, collected and analyzed registration data for evaluation of computer vision algorithms, and developed video stabilization scripts for truthing in machine learning research software. Alexander's work at the premier US Air Force research facility earned him support from the USAF. Alexander's educational background includes an Honors Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Arizona State University, where he studied at Barrett, the Honors College. He graduated in 2016 after completing a rigorous program in Mathematics. Alexander's tech stack includes Computer Vision, Research Scientist, Software Engineer, Data Scientist, test, and ML. He is a software engineer and researcher interested in signals and vision, and his work has grazed sparse matrix recovery to statistical inference in Bayesian networks, from the home to the battlefield.
