Alexander Rodriguez is a seasoned Front-End Software Engineer with over 7 years of experience in the industry. Currently, he works at DreamWorks Animation as a Software Engineer II (Web Tools), where he is responsible for developing front-end web applications in support of the Feature Animation Pipeline. His work involves improving performance, delivering features, and guiding junior team members. He is proficient in using technologies such as React, Redux, Microservices, Styled Components, Functional Programming, and Cypress. Alex is known for his positive attitude and extroverted personality, which makes him a great team player. He is passionate about writing high-quality, efficient code and always strives to learn new things. In addition to his engineering role, Alex co-leads the Latinx Employee Resource Group (Unidos) at DreamWorks Animation, where he helps unite, educate, and empower the Hispanic community. Alex holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of California, San Diego. He also attended Cathedral High School, where he completed his secondary education.
