Alexandru Costin is a seasoned technology executive with over 21 years of experience in the industry. He is currently the Vice President of Creative Cloud Services at Adobe, where he is responsible for executing the Services strategy for Creative Cloud. This includes engagement, cloud documents and projects, design systems with libraries, extensibility and fonts, UI components, SDKs, and supporting microservices integrated in Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere, After Effects, Bridge, and more. Alexandru leads a geo-distributed team of 250+ engineers, partnering with Product Management leaders, CC product teams, Adobe Design, and Adobe Research. He is also responsible for supporting the Cloud Documents strategy, executing on the CC Review capabilities, building a Design System with CC Libraries, and supporting Adobe Fonts. In addition, Alexandru is driving the development of the Universal Extensibility Platform, which enables the creation of native user experiences in Adobe's desktop products by 1st party and 3rd party developers. He is also building Neural Filters, which enables AI-powered plugins in Adobe's applications to scale Adobe magic creation and accelerate machine learning tech transfer from Adobe Research. Alexandru's past experience includes Senior Director of Creative Cloud Services and Senior Director of Digital Imaging and Product Strategy at Adobe. In these roles, he was responsible for executing the Services strategy for Creative Cloud and Digital Imaging Services strategy, respectively. He also led a team of cloud and web engineers, partnered with the Photoshop and Lightroom teams, and drove scalability improvements for Adobe's AWS-based cloud storage. Alexandru holds a Master's degree in Computer Science with a French Stream from the University Politehnica of Bucharest. He has a diverse tech stack that includes web development, UI design, research science, microservices, AI, Spark, ML, mobile development, product management, integration, frontend development, React Native, JavaScript, AWS, and more.
