Alexey Lopato is a seasoned Quality Assurance Engineering Manager with over 13 years of experience in the field. Currently, he serves as the Quality Assurance Engineering Manager and QA Team Lead at Indeed.com, where he manages a team of 10+ Engineers, including manual QAE and automation QAAE. Alexey has introduced and established an OKR framework for the team, coordinated the transition from manual regression to automation for business-critical test cases, and established >95% of all deployments as PoG (Push on Green). He has worked with QAs to introduce new processes for testing and tools for automation, and test coverage was improved with Visual and Accessibility (A11Y) automation. Alexey has organized APAC Quality Assurance Automation Bootcamp for QAs from Japan, India, and Singapore, which was successfully completed by 40 QAs. He has also planned QAs workload and was in charge of resource relocation for the whole department (ACME). Moreover, he is responsible for interviewing and hiring new QAs. Prior to Indeed.com, Alexey worked as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer Lead and Part-time Automation QA at Indeed.com. Here, he planned and executed manual functional for user-facing products and backend services, led testing and process improvements initiatives across ACME department, and contributed to front-end automation and PoG. He also mentored QAs and organized monthly knowledge transfer sessions across Tokyo offices. Before joining Indeed.com, Alexey served as a QA Team Lead at Mobidev, where he executed test cases for mobile and web applications, IoT, and coordinated a team of QA engineers, both manual and automation tasks. He also analyzed initial requirements before testing launch, formed common testing processes, provided help and support in day-to-day jobs for test engineers, mentored and trained team members and colleagues, interviewed, hired, and followed with personal development plans for QA Engineers. Alexey holds a Full Stack Web Development Certification from free code camp and a Master's degree in Banking from Bukovina State Financial Academy.
