Ali Khajeh-Hosseini is a highly experienced technical co-founder with over 10 years of experience in cloud computing, including a PhD in Computer Science. He is currently the Co-Founder of Infracost, a company backed by Y Combinator and Sequoia Capital that empowers engineering teams to use cloud infrastructure economically and efficiently. Ali has built and led development and DevOps teams across Europe and the USA, and his expertise in the field has resulted in two successful exits and one failed venture. Ali's past experiences include being the Co-Founder of abarcloud, which was acquired by Snapp, the world's fifth-largest ride-hailing company, where he created a public Container-as-a-Service platform and trained hundreds of developers on K8s and DevOps concepts. At RightScale, Ali established the Edinburgh office, led the development of PlanForCloud, and was promoted to Director after two years, where he managed 15 engineers across the EU and US. He was heavily involved in technical recruitment, created tasks to assess the technical ability of candidates, and started the RightScale Engineering Blog to promote their engineering work and attract new talent. Ali's educational background includes a PhD from the University of St. Andrews in Computer Science, an MSc from the University of Edinburgh in High-Performance Computing, and a BSc (Hons) from the Robert Gordon University in Computer Science.
