Alisha Locust is a Software Engineer at Facebook with over 10 years of relevant experience in the field. She graduated from Gwinnett Technical College in 2015 with an Associate's degree in Computer Programming. After graduation, Alisha was employed as a contractor through Modis at the client Intermedix, where she worked on implementing a new version of a specific WebEOC default board solution for clients. Her excellent work performance led to her being hired as a full-time employee by Intermedix, where she created many WebEOC board solutions for multiple government and other clients. While working at Intermedix, Alisha mainly created solutions to be used with their WebEOC software, using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and SQL. She enjoys learning about web development and is continually looking into other frameworks and technologies she hasn't had to use in work yet. She looks forward to continuing to learn about front-end development and hopes to eventually get a chance to work on the back-end of a product to further her software development knowledge. Alisha has worked with several top companies in the tech industry, including Microsoft, where she worked as a Software Engineer on the CPF, Fusion, and Build pipeline teams, and as a Software Design Engineer (LEAP Apprentice) with the Azure SQL Data Warehouse team. At Facebook, Alisha currently works as a Rotational Software Engineer. Alisha's education includes a Bachelor's degree in Theatre/Theater from Smith College, which she completed in 2008, and her Associate's degree in Computer Programming from Gwinnett Technical College. Her tech stack includes Software Engineering, SQL, Frontend and Web development, Javascript, Backend development, Data Warehouse, and Azure. Alisha is a dedicated and hardworking software engineer who is always up for new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow in her field.
