Alok Ranjan is a highly experienced Software Development Engineer currently working at Microsoft India. With over 16 years of experience, Alok has an impressive background in software engineering, testing, and integration. Prior to joining Microsoft, Alok worked as a Software Engineer at Cisco, where he was part of the CRS router L1/L2 team. During his time at Cisco, he worked on several projects, including the development of a 4x100GE LAN/OTN PLIM (CRS-X) physical layer interface module, which supports 4 ports that can enable LAN or OTN frames support individually on each port. He also developed driver code for 100GE (CPAK) and 40GE (QSFP) optical interface modules, and was responsible for detecting and handling OTN alarms and errors. Before his time at Cisco, Alok studied at IT-BHU, where he completed several projects on Image Steganography, Implementation of Task Scheduling Algorithms, and a Web Solution for management of stocks and portfolios. Currently, Alok is working on speckle reduction and segmentation algorithms for medical images. Alok's technical skillset includes software engineering, testing, and integration. He is a dedicated and experienced professional who has worked with different cross-functional teams and handled customer found bugs and escalations.
