Alvin Chang is a highly skilled Machine Learning Engineer with a passion for social impact. Currently working at Meta, he is responsible for developing and implementing end-to-end machine learning solutions at scale. He has extensive experience in areas such as entity resolution/record linkage, information retrieval, time series forecasting + classification, and motif discovery. Before joining Meta, Alvin worked at Bloomberg LP as a Research Engineer in the AI Group, NLP & Information Extraction team. He also worked at JP Morgan as a Machine Learning Engineer, where he spearheaded data science/ML development efforts on greenfield projects resulting in the release of three new ML products. Alvin holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, where he is currently pursuing his degree. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Finance from Northeastern University. He has also studied in City University of Hong Kong and Nanjing University, where he focused on Finance, Mathematics, Chinese Studies, and Intensive Dialogue and Cultural Immersion Program. Alvin is a graduate of The Bronx High School of Science. Alvin is proficient in various technologies such as ML, Research Scientist, AI, NLP, Information Retrieval, and Data Scientist. With 1.37 years of relevant experience, he is a highly skilled individual with a passion for making a difference in the world.
