Alyssa Nickow is an enthusiastic full-stack developer with over 12 years of relevant experience in the field. She is a strategic problem solver who uses data, feedback, and testing to improve teams and code. Alyssa is passionate about using technology for social impact, community improvement, and education for the greater good. Currently working as a Software Engineer at Chime, Alyssa is responsible for developing and maintaining software applications. She has a strong background in software engineering and has worked on a variety of projects throughout her career. Alyssa is skilled in software testing and is dedicated to delivering high-quality code. Prior to her current role, Alyssa worked as a Software Engineer at The Graide Network, where she delivered work for a new Account Admin dashboard ahead of schedule to support early beta testing with selected client schools and organizations. She also designed and implemented bulk API operations to improve front-end performance for new school onboarding and school year set-up, including updated error handling to reduce support requests. Alyssa identified a dependency being deprecated by the end of year 2020, researched, and created a plan of action to support migration to an alternative dependency. In addition to her experience in software engineering, Alyssa has served as Secretary Board of Directors at The Difference Engine. She has a diverse educational background, including a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The George Washington University, an M.A.T. in Elementary Education from National Louis University, an Education Administration License from New Leaders - Aspiring Principal's Program, and an On-Site Bootcamp in Python, MEAN, and C#/.NET from Coding Dojo. Alyssa's tech stack includes software engineering, testing, and frontend development. She is a highly motivated and dedicated individual who is committed to delivering exceptional results.
