Amal Thundiyil is an ambitious and passionate undergraduate student hailing from Mumbai, India. With a keen interest in programming, cyber security, and building scalable architecture using cloud platforms, Amal is a self-proclaimed open source nut who is always exploring new technologies to solve real-world problems. Amal has hands-on experience with cloud-native technologies and microservices, making him a valuable asset to any team. He is a versatile engineer with expertise in both backend and frontend engineering, as well as data structures and algorithms. In his free time, Amal likes to indulge in various hobbies such as watching movies, playing video games, playing the piano, drinking tea, and reading books. Currently, Amal is working as a Linux Foundation Mentee at OpenELB for the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF), where he is responsible for implementing a Load Balancer for Kubernetes in Bare-Metal, Edge, and Virtualization environments to support Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) network policies. Amal has also worked as a Software Developer at Kart Project for Google Summer of Code, where he developed an end-to-end, cross-platform, and maintainable framework for generating and distributing man pages, as well as providing tab completion for the Kart CLI. Amal's education background includes a B.Tech in Information Technology from Bhartiya Vidya Bhavans, and he is currently pursuing a minor in Management from SP Jain Institute of Management & Research. Amal's technical skills include Software Engineering, Frontend and Backend development, Microservices, and Kubernetes. With 0.26 years of relevant experience, Amal is a promising young talent who is sure to make a significant impact in the tech industry.
