Aman Chandra is a Software Development Engineer at CodeNation Innovation Labs. He is a recent graduate of IIT Kharagpur where he majored in Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering. Aman is extremely passionate about robotics, autonomous systems, and problem-solving in general. He has spearheaded the official robotics group of his institute and was responsible for all robotics-related activities on campus. Aman has also launched the Makerspace Lab in the institute with free software and hardware resources for all of the student community. He led the 3-tier team towards the conduction of national-level robotics events in the institute's techno-management fest, Kshitij 2019. Aman's past experiences include working as a Software Development Engineer and Robotics Intern at CodeNation and Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, respectively. At CodeNation, Aman developed a heterogeneous swarm of ground and aerial robots capable of multi-storey surveillance and soldier assistance. He implemented the Q-Learning algorithm on Arduino for a robot with a 2-DOF arm and an encoder to learn to crawl on its own. At Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, Aman designed a novel waypoint-based global planner for known environments based on the A* search algorithm on navigation graphs. He worked at the intersection of academia and industry to build a product release, validating the algorithms in real-life environments. Aman's education history includes a B.Tech+M.Tech degree in Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, a High School degree from St. Michael's High School - India, and a 10th-grade degree from St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School, Bettiah. He also holds a Masters, Master of Technology, Bachelors, and Bachelor of Technology degree from St. Michael's Academy, Bettiah. Aman's tech stack includes Software Engineering and Search. He has 2.70 years of relevant experience in the field. In his free time, Aman enjoys being an extreme member of the Harry Potter fandom, listening to metal music, and playing Table Tennis.
