Aman Dalmia is a passionate and driven individual who is committed to using technology to help people. He is currently the Co-founder of Plio, a non-profit organization that focuses on improving learning outcomes for government school students through personalized and interactive learning. Aman has also worked as a Research Fellow at Wadhwani Institute for AI, where he was involved in developing tools for early detection of pest infestation, identifying malnutrition in neonates using a smartphone video, and creating a triaging tool for COVID-19 using cough sounds alone. Aman's educational background is in Electronics & Communication Engineering, and he received his Bachelor's degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati. During his studies, he worked on using machine learning in various application domains, such as satellite imagery for detecting terrorist camps, early detection of breast cancer through thermal imagery, and finding new relevant patterns in the human genome for protein synthesis. He has also published some of his work in conferences like KDD and journals on quantitative thermography and computational biology. Apart from his work in AI and technology, Aman is deeply passionate about education and climate change. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the guitar, reading books across several topics, and blogging on Medium. He is also a cricket fan and was part of the Cricket Club in college. Aman is a lifelong learner and believes in the concept of continuous learning. He recently started a study group focused on studying AI with his juniors at IIT Guwahati. Aman's tech stack includes AI, research science, machine learning, deep learning, Keras, OpenCV, Scikit, TensorFlow, and backend development. With over 5 years of relevant experience, Aman is an entrepreneurial-minded individual who is constantly looking for solutions to existing problems in our everyday lives.
