Aman Jain is a Senior Software Engineer with over 7 years of experience in designing and implementing scalable applications, microservices, cloud and on-premises infrastructures, and Android apps. He is currently working at NVIDIA, where he is responsible for building Android SDK to collect location, activity, and health data in the background from mobile while being battery efficient, running in more than 100k devices. Aman has optimised the battery footprint of the SDK by collecting and transmitting location data with variable frequency based on when data was consumed by the user or its consumption using SDK Configuration Control Manager. He has also built SDK Configuration Control Manager to make the working of SDK configurable via the server. Prior to this, Aman worked at Cumulus Networks and HyperTrack, where he built an android app called "Audio travel guide" having audio supported guide of tourist interests in India. He conceptualised, designed and developed the Hands-free feature in the app, which once started plays audio guidance and instructions of a place of interest while you are going around the tour on the basis of your location in the tour. He also built map-based visualization and navigation of the tour using the Google Maps API and designed the custom compass view using various sensors in the phone and location APIs. He implemented media player services for streaming audio from the server and integrated Offline download feature to access the complete tour without internet. Aman holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad. He is proficient in Python, Android, Kubernetes, Microservices, Kafka, Cassandra, Docker, Mobile, UI, DAO, Ansible, Scala, Spring, and Backend technologies.
