Aman Sanghi is an accomplished Software Engineer with a wealth of experience in the internet industry. With a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Software Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, Aman has honed his skills in Java and C++. He has worked with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Amazon and Uber, and is currently a Software Engineer at Google, where he is a part of the Search Live Results Team (Sports Vertical). During his tenure at Google, Aman has been instrumental in supporting high-profile events such as the Olympics, where he helped to support four billion queries in a span of just 14 days. He is currently working on sports server cache optimization, where he is focused on reducing cache fragmentation with the help of de-dup cache. Prior to his time at Google, Aman worked as an SDE Intern at Amazon, where he was a part of the India promotions team. During his time there, he created a Fund Management service from the ground up, which kept track of all cashback promotions on the Amazon.in site, tracked the budget allocated to each promotion, and processed 400 to 500 requests per second of funds consumption. Aman also served as a Software Engineer Intern at Uber, where he worked with the Maps Team under Routing Diagnostics Project as a Backend Developer. He implemented an API call using Java, which queries from a Pinot Database, and implemented a pipeline to fetch data from a Hive database and store it in a Pinot Database. He also implemented Spark jobs for automating the task of categorizing trips into different buckets.
