Aman Srivastava is an experienced Engineering Leader in the internet industry with a demonstrated history of excelling in his field. He graduated from NIT Allahabad with a Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology. Aman has a good knack for figuring out solutions to a wide variety of business and technical problems, and a good history of driving their solutions to completion, either in an individual capacity or while leading a team of engineers and mentoring them while working with them. Aman is proficient in architecting complex engineering systems, System Design, Distributed Systems, Microservices Architecture, Data Structures, Algorithms, various Relational/NoSQL databases, and Mobile Applications, with great knowledge of how to develop/use these securely. He has good experience in designing systems from scratch, scaling existing systems, driving teams towards high-quality development, and mentoring other engineers. Currently, Aman works as an Engineering Leader at Freshworks, where he is part of architectural design and System design, abstractions, concurrency, scalability, performance, and availability. He has designed a config-driven framework and parsers to process different file types such as FDR, TSYS, MC, AMEX, CSV, XML, XLS, XLSX, T140, MT940, SD098, SM077, TXT, HTML, and custom file formats. He is building a data pipeline, data transformation using UDFs, batch data processing, and data ingestion using Apache Spark & Scala. Aman is building a reconciliation engine to enable users to compare data from different data sources and create one complete and correct production dataset. He is also responsible for data storage, retrieval, and aggregations using Apache Hbase, Mapr-DB, Apache Hive, Apache Drill, and Spark JDBC connector. Aman has used Parquet Columnar Storage for data aggregation and visualization on Tableau. He interacts with product managers to gather business requirements and translates them into technical needs. Aman manages a team of 5 engineers, handling on-boarding, training, and mentoring for all. He takes care of build management in different environments, release cycles, code quality, and code review processes.
