Amancio Bouza is a Chief Product Officer with a passion for API and AI, FinTech, digital products, and ecosystems. With several years of experience as an API Product Manager, Product Owner, Technical Lead, and Engineer in the telco industry, Amancio has provided impactful strategic advice, inspirational execution, and inclusive culture change to organizations that want to create customer value in the area of digital ecosystems. Amancio is an author of the API Product Management book and a speaker who is curious, adventurous, collaborative, and thirsty for excellence and innovation. He believes that everything is possible with analytics, bias-to-action, and creativity and that great communication starts with listening. He is a leader who supports people and ideas, thinks entrepreneurially, creates value, does something for the greater good, and has fun with startups. With 10+ years of experience with machine learning and analytics from academia to industry, Amancio combines his experiences with his passion, Lean Startup methodologies, can-do and do-what-you-can't attitude, customer obsession, Social Media, and business thinking to make the difference. He founded a technology startup together with the University of Zurich that combines crowd-sourcing, big data, and artificial intelligence (AI) to democratize information. Before founding his startup, Amancio worked on smart knowledge management systems and banking information systems. Prior to that, he conducted research in the field of recommender systems at the University of Zurich. In this period, he invented new methods related to machine learning to identify like-minded people and similar machine learning models. Amancio is a Startup Advisor at blobr, providing advice, mentoring, and coaching for the no-code API Product Platform. He is also a Digital Catalyst at the digital journeymen foundation. He holds a Dr. sc. degree in Computer Science, a Dipl. Inform. degree in Informatics with a concentration in Information Systems, and a Matura degree in Natural Sciences from Kantonsschule Schaffhausen. Amancio's tech stack includes product management, AI, ML, Big Data, research scientist, and senior software engineer. He has 3.60 years of relevant experience and is always looking for new challenges and opportunities to make a positive impact.
