Amanda Astey is a highly experienced Software Developer with a background in both design and development. With over 13 years of relevant experience, she is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer at Gracenote, where she also serves as a Technical Product Owner. In this role, Amanda oversees the development of several web applications that showcase the broad databases the company offers to potential clients. She is responsible for both developing and maintaining communications between her scrum team and company stakeholders. With her technical knowledge, Amanda can quickly understand potential blockers and time-constraints and address them before they create problems for deliverable deadlines. Prior to joining Gracenote, Amanda worked as a Web Engineer for Automatic, a subset of SiriusXM, and as a Web Developer with USA Today. She also co-founded and worked as the front-end developer for the D.C. based startup, Flashband. Amanda's technical expertise includes a strong command of Software Engineering, Web Development, and Frontend development technologies. Amanda holds a Certification in Graphic/Web Design from the Center for Digital Imaging Arts at Boston University, as well as a Dual B.A in Advertising and Sociology, and a B.A. in Advertising and Sociology from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and College of Arts & Sciences.
