Amanda has launched new features and rebuilt the service multiple times to continually innovate on behalf of customers. Prior to joining Amazon, Amanda worked at Lennox International as a Thermal Systems Modeling Architect, where she redesigned and rewrote the simulation software from Fortran to C++. She also designed and implemented a database for air conditioner components used in simulation and conducted maintenance, enhancement, and integration of software tools used in the collection of laboratory data. Amanda also worked as a Research Assistant at the Thermo-Fluids Control Laboratory at Texas A&M University, where she created thermal system simulation software and designed and programmed control strategies. Amanda's education history includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
