However, her love for coding and computer science led her to pursue a Full Stack Web Development course at App Academy, where she developed expertise in Node.js, MongoDB, Apollo GraphQL, and React. Amanda's experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer at BlackBird equipped her with the ability to design, spec, and create efficient database and client-side data fetching and caching using GraphQL operations and resolvers. She was also part of a team that developed BlackBird's marketplace flight pricing algorithm using Node.js. Her experience in developing dynamic, user-friendly React Native scenes for Android and iOS devices and using Jira to balance shipping features and squashing bugs in both customer-facing mobile apps and internal web applications is an added advantage.
