Amar is an experienced Product Leader with a strong background in software product development, enterprise architecture, and IT strategy. He currently works as a Software Engineer III at Cisco, where he is responsible for developing and implementing various features and solutions for the wireless controller. He has also researched and proposed a page cache algorithm for the benefit of Cisco's IOS and developed and implemented an SNMP module from scratch for Cisco TrustSec feature. Amar has a demonstrated history of working in the computer networking industry and has led several product features and services to successful completion. Amar is skilled in Java, reasoning skills, Agile practices, and management experience. He actively gauges product requirements, creates roadmaps, and delivers optimized features and services focusing on new technology usage and adoption. Amar has worked in both the software and networking industry and has experience in leading product features and services to fruition. He is also an excellent problem-solver and has a keen eye for detail. Before joining Cisco, Amar worked as a Software Engineer at Cerner, where he developed and implemented a project titled "System to update runs in Quality Centre tool from HP." He was also involved in the backend development of CareAware iBus, which is the core infrastructure component of the overarching CareAware architecture. It enables plug-and-play connectivity between devices and the EHR. Amar also contributed to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions during his time as a Vocational Trainee at HAL. Amar holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Information Science and Engineering from Ramaiah Institute of Technology. He is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Product Leadership from the Institute of Product Leadership, which he is expected to complete in 2023.
