Ambuj A. is a seasoned VP with over two decades of professional experience across various technical and functional domains. He has built products and frameworks on LAMP stack, core Java, REST APIs, NoSQL, event-driven reactive microservices, Kafka, and Spark. He is well-versed in various Agile methodologies such as Kanban, XP, BDD, TDD, and Scrum. Ambuj has successfully handled teams of over 175 employees, entrusted with budgets of over $15M, spanning numerous parallel initiatives, comprising of managers, independent contributors, and various consultants. He has built analytics frameworks for real-time banking fraud detections and e-commerce platforms serving thousands of orders/hr. Using open-source technologies like Java, he has architected hundreds of polyglot microservices. He has also built an IOT platform for more than 15M active connections and made media and content platform delivering ~60 TB content downloads daily. Ambuj has founded new initiatives more than once, seeing them grow from a single digit to three digits. He has also re-modelled legacy components on a scalable architecture. He has worked in domains as diverse as semiconductors to Brick & Mortar, from IOT-Telematics to Media & Content Platforms. Over the past 8 years, Ambuj has been working with CXOs to drive business KPIs and KRAs by building mid and long-term product strategies, using bleeding-edge engineering innovations and managing the engineering and research org with equal ease. Ambuj's past companies include Ola and Amazon, where he held the positions of Head of Engineering Food Panda | Ola Play and Senior Engineering Leader, respectively. At Amazon, he led a multi-year, machine learning-based greenfield initiative in the financial space by setting up the team from scratch in Bangalore. Ambuj holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University, Agra, and a Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelors from Chatrapati Sahuji Maharaj Kanpur University, Kanpur.
