Ambuj Kumar is an accomplished Engineering Manager with over 6 years of experience in the software industry. He currently works at Jio Platforms Limited (JPL) as an Engineering Manager, where he leads a team of developers in the development of high-frequency categories such as Bus, Flights, Trains, and Movies. Prior to joining Jio, Ambuj worked at Amazon as an SDEII, where he was a founding team member for launching High-Frequency Categories (HFC) for travel and entertainment domains. He played a crucial role in onboarding couponing services, building ordering, payments, and post-order experiences for HFC. He also led the team responsible for migrating the existing Tapzo coupon service to Amazon rewards system, onboarding six plus categories on the new rewards system without any downtime. Ambuj's other contributions included mentoring SDEs, taking interviews, and taking several operation excellence initiatives to reduce latency and solve recurring problems. Before joining Amazon, Ambuj worked as a Team Lead at Tapzo, where he led a team of five people responsible for maintaining various existing systems like Coupons, Subscription, Tapzo Wallet, Notifications, and delivering Digital Gold as a high-frequency category on Tapzo App. Ambuj graduated from PESIT in 2016 with a degree in Computer Science. He is passionate about working on real-time products that solve real-world problems. He has a diverse technical skill set that includes expertise in Senior Software Engineering, Integration, QA, RabbitMQ, Frontend, Backend, Web, NodeJS, Azure, Mobile, and Android development.
