Amelie Windel is an accomplished aerobatic pilot, aviation ambassador, journalist, iOS and web developer, artist, and graphic designer. She has worked with clients from diverse industries such as financial, engineering, pharmaceutical, construction, property, and aeronautical fields. Amelie is proficient in the entire Adobe Creative Suite and has a keen interest in art and graphic design. Over the years, Amelie has shifted her focus from IT to aviation and has become a keen pilot with over 800 flying hours in various types of aircraft. Her flying over the past 8 years has been solely focused on aerobatics, and she was the UK's youngest female aerobatic pilot for many years. Amelie has used many platforms to introduce, encourage, and inspire more young people to take up flying. Amelie has ranked highly in national and international competitions and has received media attention. She is obtaining her Display Authorisation to appear at displays throughout the UK and Europe. Amelie has a good understanding of flight operations in both the private and public sectors. She owned a Laser 230 for four years and acquired an Extra 300L on which she offered aerobatic coaching. Currently, Amelie is a contributing writer for Australian Aviation and one of their ambassadors to encourage young people to delve into the world of aviation. She has also written for Global Aviation Resource. As a result of her work in aviation, she has been featured in the media multiple times, including large global platforms such as National Geographic and Instagram. Amelie holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Imperial College London and a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Cambridge. She completed her A Levels in Mathematics and Sciences from the City of London School for Girls. Amelie's tech stack includes web design, iOS, and graphic design, and she has relevant experience of 10.94 years. She has previously worked as a pilot for Amelie Windel Aerobatics and Go Fly Oxford. Amelie has recently relocated to Sydney, where she flies the Red Baron Extra 330 LX, Pitts, and Robins.
