Amer Rez is a highly skilled Machine Learning Applications Engineer at Amazon Web Services (AWS) with over 5 years of relevant experience in the field. He is a Deep Learning & Data Scientist with a strong background in Python, Tensor Flow, Computer Vision, DNA & Protein Sequences, and NLP. Amer has a Master's degree focused on Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Deep Learning from San Jose State University. He also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology. Prior to joining AWS, Amer worked as a Language Engineer at Apple, where he designed and developed software in Agile methodology. He was involved in the development of RESTFUL queries and data fetch, implemented the back-end to query to get real-time data needed in JSON format, processed JSON data and mapped data from different sources to regenerate new JSON as needed, and built a RESTful API to expose the processed data to the front-end. He also worked closely with front-end developers, being involved in architecture decisions on balancing the load between the software back-end & front-end implementing a caching mechanism. Amer was a part of the UIUX design and helped in parsing the JSON data using AngularJs in the front-end and visualize it on a modern bootstrap UI. Amer also worked as a Software Development Intern at Goldman Sachs, where he designed and developed software in Agile methodology.
