Amey Kantak is a highly experienced Senior Manager in Information Security - Risk and Governance at Persistent Systems. He has a deep understanding of IT Governance, Information Security, GDPR, IT Operations, Risk Assessment, Risk Management, Infosec Posture, External Posture Management, Contract Due Diligence, InfoSec Due Diligence, Privacy Assessment, GDPR Implementation, Business Analytics, Project Management, Delivery Management, ISO 27001, ISO 22301, ISO 27701, Policy Governance, NIST, HIPAA, and Operations Management. Amey has established the Risk and Governance function within InfoSec and Compliance DU from scratch and co-authored and established Data Governance Policy at Persistent Systems in close coordination with CIO and CISO. He is the owner of External Posture Management and governance, where he has implemented enterprise third-party cyber risk assessment platforms and integrated them into a cohesive process for Persistent. He has systematically upgraded Information Security Awareness training at the enterprise level and pushed corporate InfoSec Awareness levels to 90%+ level. Amey has anchored the IT Due Diligence Process for all contract reviews spanning IT and InfoSec requirements to ensure Information Security issues are given due consideration in all contractual/legal agreements and Delivery operations. He is the owner of Policy Governance and SOA for ISO 27001:2013, ISO 22301:2019, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, and related standards. He has also served as the Project Manager for GDPR & Privacy Implementation for Corporate Functions, including the establishment of privacy by design/default controls, training, technical controls, etc. Amey has a deep understanding of InfoSec Standards, NIST, HIPAA, HITECH, RMF, and has been the Project Manager for Global ISO 22301 - Business Continuity Management System certification and implementation program spanning all global locations for Persistent. He has also worked as a Site Operations Manager at Persistent Systems and as a Senior Online Marketing Project Manager at Onecybertech Software Technologies Pvt Ltd. Amey holds an MOOC - GDPR Data Protection Officer Skills from the University of Derby, a Diploma from the International Forensics Science Institute, Pune, an MBA from Sri Sri Institute of Management Studies, and a BSC from Goa University.
